Overview on the beneficial life of Ayatollah Sayyed Ibrahim Khosro Shahi

The Khosro Shahi family are originally from Azerbaijan and Tabriz. Haj Sayyed Hashem Khosro Shahi immigrated to Kermanshah province of Iran and decided to be resident of the mentioned city when he was going to Iraq for pilgrimage. Ayatollah Sayed Ibrahim Khosro Shahi is the result of marriage between Ayatollah Sayyed Naser Khosro Shahi with his wife who was from Yazd Province of Iran and was born in Kerman in 1924. Sayyed Ibrahim lost his mother when he was only eight years old and he passed his childhood beside of his mother lonely. Then he went to Qom holy city.

That is God’s blessing to somebody if he has a great teacher and guide in his life. It was a great chance for Sayyed Ibrahim to be the haj Sheikh Abbas Tehrani’s student. The grand teacher encouraged him to become a clergy. He accepted to be Sayyed Ibrahim’s teacher in Arabic literature while he was one of the great teachers of Shiite seminaries. The true guide noticed about the dependency of the Pahlavi Regime to GB and US to his students and made them aware of the oppressions of the regime to people. Then, Sayyed Ibrahim met Martyr Navab Safavi and joined the revolutionary activities against the regime. Imam Khomeini and Allameh Tabatabaei were his two next great teachers.

Obtaining high scientific and spiritual ranks

Ayatollah Khosro Shahi studied in Kermanshah, Qom and Najaf by attending the lectures of some great teachrs such as Ayatollahg Sheikh Abbas Tehrani, Sheikh Abdul Javad Isfahani, grand Ayatollah Golpayegani, Ayatollah Mirza Ali Agha Safi Golpayegani, Ayatollah Sayyed Abdul Ali Sezavari, grand Ayatollah Boruojerdi, Ayatollah Allameh Tabatabaei and Imam Khomeini. He had close friendship with Ayatollah Bahjat, ayatollah Sheikh Ali Saadat Parvar (Pahlavani), Agha Hussein Fatemi and Ayatollah Khoshvaght. We can enumerate some of his prominent characteristics such as high trust in God, simplism, faith and high attempt in giving service to people especially youth and introducing God and his rules. His expertness in Fiqh and Osoul, philosophy and kalaam was laudable but attending his interpretation lectures was very amazing and sweet. One of his prominent characters is his scientific views and words which are remained as comment on various texts and books for us. His excellent method in teaching Fiqh and Osoul, Interpretation of Quran was unique. He was surrendered in front of God’s order and will. He quoted always from his grand teacher Decedent Ayatollah Tehrani that nothing will be achieved easily.

Immigration to Tehran and training three generations of seminary students

He went to Tehran in 60’s decade and started his work as Imam of Al-Mahdi Mosque. The mosque changed to one of the most important mosques of Tehran for those people who were interested to learn more in religious fields and interpretation of Quran. Beside of these activities in Al-Mahdi Mosque, he taught in the seminaries of Tehran. He attempted to build some mosques in Tehran and the other cities of Iran. He remained many memorials in Kermanshah and Tehran provinces during his sixty years social and scientific services to people.

An overview on the behaviour and social manner of Ayatollah khosro Shahi

He says:

‘’Ayatollah Bahauddini gave some money to me and ordered me to build a mosque in one of the suburb village of Qom. I accepted and went there to do the given mission. When I came back to Qom, my first son was born without any need to hospital and emergency care. I believe that it was God’s blessing to me.

Imam Khomeini also said about him:

The people of Kermanshah have to be thankful to such piteous clergies like him (Ayatollah Khosro Shahi) because of their good servicing to people and Islam. Also their closed relationship with the seminaries is important.

He says also:

‘’ there was no voice of Izan in our locality. I decided to build a mosque in a part our park and I could…’’ the name of this mosque is Fatima Al-Zahra Mosque.

We pray to God to keep him health for us.
